Yesterday i saw, the movie Life in a Metro. a great movie with good performance and good script. As usual Kokan and Irfan stood out. KK has a negative character. Shilapa and Shiney were good.
After watching that movie, i was afraid living in Mumbai. May be the movie is too much one sided. may be it has all dark shades of Mumbai. I personally does not believe that India is such materialistic. In taht movie, one thing is sure. It presents the call center life in a big negative way. It also shows another aspect of life. It shows how people are ready to do anything when they see a shortcut to success.
Personally i feel not everybody does like that. Also there is a limit to compromise else you have no life. Human become a machine. that movie literally shook me up. May be that is reel life not real. But if that story is 10% true and happening in Mumbai, then beware of Mumbai girls and jobs. After watching that movie, i was thinking what the hell is happening in India.
Is the country suddenly changed overnight ready to broke all the shackles and become westernized. May be god knows. But i believe still India is like the one that i wished and dream of. May be i am too orthodox and not able to embrace the changes. But the movie ends in a brighter note by all characters revolting against the self imposed shell. Some of the movies of bollywood has been really good and experimental and realistic unlike those chocolate stories.
May be it is time for me to leave the story of left behind and look towards the sunny days i am having in Seattle...Life does move forward.

The story of the movie is not about mumbai, but ya mumbai is an example . This is the story of all the metro cities accross the world. And its the reality.i suppose being there in a county like united states you can better put your eyies towards western culture both in good as well as in bad areas.but its too sad that people are getting westernised only with the dark aspects .but fact is fact.
